This is a style England can do well; fresh and racy with mature brioche and custard mingling through lemon, apricot stone and apple. A fine and elegant sparkling wine with small and persistent bubbles.
Butter and creamy oak on the nose, very typical of a classic barrel fermented, cool climate Chardonnay. There’s greengage and lemon, it is a tight, mineral wine with an impressive length and is sure to improve with bottle age.
A delicate salmon pink, classic aromas of ripe strawberries and apricots with a rich biscuit and oatmeal. Fresh raspberry, red currant and crunchy red apple flavours balanced by a full, creamy mouthfeel and a complex herbal finish.
A thoughtful and complex wine with beautifully weighted peach, lemon and apricot fruit. Delicate mineral and floral elements with a touch of vanilla spice. This is a style of Chardonnay that I find irresistible, restrained and nuanced, just a touch of lees, very correct and a pleasure on many levels.
