All bramble and raspberry, joyous and vibrant, it is remarkably flexible in that the full forest fruit is the perfect partner to linguine and wild boar ragù, alternatively it can be chilled (there is very little tannin) and works well with spiced seafood.

Villa Giada Barbera D'Asti Suri
Barbera d’Asti DOCG

Grape  Barbera

Villa Giada Barbera Surí is made from Barbara grown in the vineyards of Vadrini, Spessa and Ponticelli in the communes of Calosso and Agliano Terme.  All have excellent exposure from West to Southwest.
The vines are hand harvested in the first part of October.
The bunches are de-stemmed and macerated prior to fermentation which once started, lasts from 10 to 12 days.
After this, the wine is racked off the skins and held in tank for the malolactic fermentation and a little refinement lasting 4 to 5 months.  The wine is then bottled and given a short period to catch its breath before being released.

All bramble and raspberry, joyous and vibrant, it is remarkably flexible in that the full forest fruit is the perfect partner to linguine and wild boar ragù, alternatively it can be chilled (there is very little tannin) and works well with spiced seafood.  13%
