Traditionally enjoyed by fortunate foreigners whose governments have a more civilised attitude towards a lick more of alcohol, which in this case lifts the citrus notes onto a higher plain; the juniper, grapefruit and clove are subtly woven through the spirit.
A delicate salmon pink, classic aromas of ripe strawberries and apricots with a rich biscuit and oatmeal. Fresh raspberry, red currant and crunchy red apple flavours balanced by a full, creamy mouthfeel and a complex herbal finish.
This is a style England can do well; fresh and racy with mature brioche and custard mingling through lemon, apricot stone and apple. A fine and elegant sparkling wine with small and persistent bubbles.
Moderately sweet with balancing rooty bitterness. Warmly spiced with notes of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and herbal complexity, lifted by zesty citrus with a long spicy bittersweet finish with red berry, wine and orange zest.
Cranberry-like red berry fruit, floral geranium and herbal spice with bark and rooty bitterness. Very fruity compared to a Campari with even greater complexity. Aftertaste: moderately bitter, tart fruit finish.
