Minimum Order

There is no minimum order – you may buy any number of bottles that you so choose

Delivery

Delivery is restricted to UK nationwide

An order relates to one single delivery

Delivery is free for any order over £150, Highlands and Islands carry a surcharge

All other delivery options (include timed deliveries) and charges are listed in detail below but arrangements need to be made seperately with Bat and Bottle at the additional cost.

Collections can be made from our warehouse in Oakham (address and opening hours listed below)

Breakages, Non-Delivery and Short Deliveries

Any damaged bottles or missing cases must be reported to us by email, phone or fax as early as possible and within 5 working days of the expected delivery date. Failure to inform us within this time could lead to the items no longer being covered by insurance and no recompense being available.

Please be certain to check the number of parcels you are signing for. We will not replace wines that have been signed for but not received. Any missing cases of wine will be chased up within the couriers system and, provided we have been informed within the time limits specified, and the case(s) is untraceable, we will send replacements as fast as possible.

Delivery Date From Order

All deliveries are sent using a next day courier service. However, we can not guarantee next day deliveries and should there be a delay of more than 3 days, we will contact you and advise you of when it will be due.

Using Neighbours as An Alternative Delivery Addresses

If you are uncertain as to whether or not someone will be at home all day, there is a “special instruction” facility in which you can authorise nearby house numbers as alternative addresses where your wine can be left if no-one is in.

Unsigned for Deliveries

If no-one can be at home to meet the courier, and you have not got an alternative delivery address you can use, your wine can be left in a place designated by you, unsigned for. Bat and Bottle cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

Refund Policy

We will refund any bottles returned to us in perfect condition, this includes labels and capsules. This will not affect your statutory rights.

Collections will be charged at £12 and must be arranged either by phone or by email directly with us.

Free mainland UK delivery for orders of £150 and over

Prices for orders under £150:

  • 12 bottle order and above : £5.50
  • 11 bottle order: £8.00
  • 10 bottle order: £8.00
  • 9 bottle order: £8.00
  • 8 bottle order: £8.00
  • 7 bottle order: £8.00
  • 6 bottle order: £8.00
  • 5 bottle order: £9.00
  • 4 bottle order: £9.00
  • 3 bottle order: £9.00
  • 2 bottle order: £9.00
  • 1 bottle order: £8.00

Highland & Island Surcharges

If you live in the Highlands or on the Island you are most fortunate, however please call and we will confirm whether or not there is a surcharge for us to deliver to you.

Timed Delivery Charges

Timed deliveries can be arranged. They carry the following surcharge in addition to standard delivery:

  • Before 10am (X): +£14.00
  • Before 12noon (M): +£9.00
  • Saturday before 12noon (S): +£21.00

Opening hours – Saturday 9am - 2pm
If you want to visit at any other time, please, do call us before setting off as, on occasion, no-one is available to man the warehouse during weekdays.
